So I got a lot on my mind I guess. Here goes:

The new Nintendo DS product is on its way! Problem is that it’s gunna be shit. I enjoy my DS more than most should, but I will not even debate buying this “DSi.” Built in cameras that can hardly make wallet worthy photos, implementing music and internet capabilities that homebrews have been able to do for a few years just fine, and losing the GBA Card slot? Bad choice on all those. But atleast they made one good thing; a system like XBLA but for the DS. I won’t be using it but its still a smart idea.
Scott’s BDay! My good pal and bandmate just turned 15, he’s young but he’s good. Although his party was only 4 hours long it seemed like a lot longer in a good way. They say time flies when you’re having fun, but if you’re having too much fun it might make surplus time. But through this party I’ve learned a lot… 10 people should not be on a coach at a single time, Scott’s couch can hold 10 people but doesn’t mean it should, seeing how many people can fit onto a single couch isn’t that cool when its dominantly guys and the moon looked awesome tonight.
I’ve been playing Pokemon for about 2/3rds of my life… And I’ve loved it! Sure, the games are retarded but they’re fun. Who cares if there are too many now? They’re color coded by elements, that simple. Plus its one of the few games I play through multiple times and keep crawling back to. My little cousin thinks I’m a loser for playing it but he’s the one that threatened to burn a teacher’s house down for stealing his Yu-Gi-Oh cards. I still got mine so… WHO’S THE LOSER NOW!?!?
Finally music, my biggest passion. I’m a singer and lyricist. Could be a song writer too if I knew how to tab the stuff I come up with, but I usually forget by the time I leave my daily bathroom jam session. I’m trying to find the perfect balance between a folk style and an operatic style of singing since my favorite vocalists are Mikael Akerfeldt and Roy Kahn. I’m getting good within this past year, two years ago I was doing mediocre growls and couldn’t hold a note. Now I’m basically a musical powerhouse without any taxpayers. In other words, I need to buy a tape recorder or something…

I’m most likely going to be out of school the next couple days. I just got my wisdom teeth pulled on Monday. Have you ever watched The Nutty Professor with Eddie Murphy? My face is quite literally a white and long haired version of the fat grampa but my body is completely normal. The big problem is, I can’t open my mouth wide enough to chew, stick my tongue out, drink comfortably or anything!

So my rents are going to try and get me to the doctor’s today and maybe they know what to do about this. Otherwise, I’m gunna be missing probably the next two weeks of school…

Halloween and Election Day

I missed Halloween by a couple days but its still stuck in my head a bit. Honestly, Halloween is a day for the cute and more innocent girls to dress up like whores, whores to dress up like bigger whores, and those who play Dungeons and Dragons to wear the costumes publicly.

I would’ve liked to have joined in the festivities but I came up with the perfect costume idea just 2 days before Halloween. I wanted to be a priest sooo bad… giving out candy to children. Ha!

Overall, I gotta hand it to some people that made suprisingly good costumes: Although mighty gay, a boy in my music theory class had a pretty good Sarah Palin costume. My friend Jess had perhaps the best costume I’ve seen, she was a pretty detailed zombie. She’s just lucky I didn’t have the heart to shoot her brains out… nor the brains to shoot her heart out… Think about it.

But today… is the election day. Honestly I would’ve liked Ron Paul to win, or someone other than the main two competitors. But I think I’m gunna have to side with Will Smith and say “Yes” to Obama. There’s been a cat on my porch all day today… right now I’m willing to vote for whichever candidate can find it a home by tonight. Good luck to you all.

Exhausted

So this whole “school” thing has been nothing but trouble… like homework and waking up in the morning easily 6 hours before any teenager should have to. I honestly can’t take it anymore. I used to be able to go days without sleep but now on my senior year, 7 just isn’t enough.

So basically the past couple days I’ve been scraping by, and taking a nap after school if need be. But somehow sleeping is just making me more exhausted. I just woke up with my Ayreon playlist going shortly after hearing “Your better off dead!” from his song Trauma. And right now I feel it.

Things to look forward to: Weekend = Sleep, Saturday’s Pre-Halloween Party, Perpetual Burn show on Halloween, Possibly a bagel tomorrow? New Castlevania Game, Going to bed right now!

Recent Interests

Well, I decided now would be a good time to talk about what I’ve been doing lately to keep me occupied:

I got the new Sonic Chronicles game, although every claims it looked horrible and even I expected it to be bad. But I pretty much had to try it out, I loved playing the old sonic games plus its an RPG. Final Fantasy is proble my favorite game series so it seemed like I’d atleast get used to the battles quick.

Saturday night was my friend’s b-day party and we played Hide and Seek. Yes, highschoolers playing Hide and Seek. I proble ran more that night than I have all year in just 2 hours of playtime.

We’re having a little trouble in the band but nothing we can’t work out. Hopefully we’ll get into the groove of things and start putting things together. Sean’s basically finished a song but Paul needs to lay down some drums and I need to expand on the lyrics. Also, Scott is working on a softer song but its proble not going to be ready in a while.

Spirit Week

So today ends the most wretched 5 days of the school year, Spirit Week. After 3 years of putting up with it, you’d think I’d finally be able to enjoy it. For once the principal never had to force people into the halls to clean up their decorations. Plus to top it off I got to see one of my least favorite teacher’s get covered in ice cream and various toppings. But the bad always outweighs the good.

Oswego has never been that big on school spirit, the “dressing up” kids do on spirit week is often just an excuse to be disrespectful and a pain in the ass. Some people did it respectfully but I don’t think there was any reason for guy’s to be wearing short shorts on super hero day or 80’s day. Shorts on the outside would’ve been understandable. Ex: Quailman.

If the staff really wanted to see our team spirit they would host the Pep Rallies after school and see how many show up. Really, how sad is it that they have to threaten us students with in-school suspension in order to keep us around for the Pep Rally?

First Blog Entry

     So recently I’ve come to realize that the world is changing. Comedy has branched into an almost necessary part of our lives, often in ways of comedic relief, and with the US’s current economic status… We could all use a good laugh.
     I have an odd sense of humor, I think there’s been enough jokes about the president, sexual innuendos, and most importantly your mother. Even though she deserves it for bringing you into the world. I tend to over analyze things and be overly critical, I’ll take anything too literally or turn it around in ways it shouldn’t go. Your mom didn’t know she could do that before I came along. (Sorry, thats two in one.) I’ll even go as far to make horrible jokes to make something out of the ordinary.
     Thats why I’m starting a blog. I’ll proble run out of things to talk about and end up posting stuff about movies, games, music or my band that recently started up. (We’re called Acedia and play Progressive Death Metal if anyone’s interested.) But who knows, maybe something interesting will finally happen around here.
